Founded in 2022, Paving The Way: Diversity In Lactation, Inc has made a tremendous impact thanks to the help of community organizations such as the Connecticut Breastfeeding Coalition and CT Department of Public Health. The core of our work lies in creating a diverse lactation work field to provide culturally relevant care to BIPOC families.

Are you a BIPOC birth or lactation professional and want to further your career in the field? Have you had a desire to learn more about breastfeeding and increase the level of care that you can provide to families?
Learning about the requirements to become a Lactation Consultant can be confusing and expensive. You don’t have to do it alone. We can help! Our program offers guidance and financial assistance to support you on your journey towards becoming a Lactation Consultant. We have connections with local hospitals and private practices to provide mentorship.
